Natural Language Dialogue group

In a dialogue system, Natural Language Understanding (NLU) is the process of converting natural language input (such as user utterances in English) to a representation used internally by the system. Our work on NLU has focused on statistical approaches to map user utterances to system-specific forms of semantic representation. Our NLU modules employ techniques from cross-lingual information retrieval, and machine learning approaches for multi-class and multi-label classification.
